MindFrame Privacy Policy

Last updated: 3 August 2026

MindFrame is a personal wellness and reflection app. This policy explains what happens to your information. The short version: your writing stays on your phone, there is no account, and nothing about you is sold or used for advertising.

MindFrame has no user accounts and no analytics. We do not collect your name, email, contacts, location, advertising identifier, or usage statistics. There is no login because there is no server-side profile of you.

What is stored on your device

Everything you create in MindFrame is written to a private database inside the app's own storage on your device:

This data is not uploaded, backed up to us, or readable by us. If you delete the app, it is removed with it. Your device may include this data in your own iCloud or encrypted device backup, which is governed by Apple's terms, not ours.

What leaves your device

1. AI companion messages

When you send a message to the AI companion, that message is transmitted over an encrypted HTTPS connection to the MindFrame AI service at medbriefai.vercel.app so a reply can be generated. What is sent:

These requests are not tied to an account or an identity. Replies are stored only on your device. You can turn conversation memory off, or switch the AI off entirely, in Chat settings. If you never use the AI companion, nothing is sent.

2. Voice capture (only if you use it)

If you dictate a thought instead of typing it, MindFrame uses Apple's built-in speech recognition. Depending on your device, iOS version, and language, Apple may process that audio on its servers rather than on the device. That processing is handled by Apple under Apple's privacy policy; MindFrame does not receive, store, or transmit your audio. Voice capture is optional and only runs while you hold the microphone control.

3. Fonts

MindFrame loads its typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.gstatic.com) the first time it runs, after which they are cached on your device. This request includes your IP address, as any web request does, and is handled by Google under their privacy policy. It contains none of your journal or conversation content.

What we never do

Your control over your data

Because we hold no copy of your data, these controls are the complete and final means of access and erasure.

Children

MindFrame is not directed at children and is not intended for use by anyone under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Not medical care

MindFrame is a wellness and self-reflection tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional mental health care. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line such as 988 (US), 116 123 (UK), or 13 11 14 (Australia).

Changes

If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. Material changes affecting how your information is handled will also be noted in the app.
